How to regain access when you lose your authenticator app or backup codes.
Jump straight to the place that usually fixes this.
Two-factor authentication (MFA) adds an extra layer of security, but it also means you need a recovery plan if you lose access to your authenticator.
Recovery option 1: Use a backup code. When you enabled MFA, you were given 10 single-use backup codes. Enter any unused code in place of your authenticator code to sign in.
Recovery option 2: Email-based recovery. If you have no backup codes left, request a recovery email. For security, there is a mandatory 7-day waiting period before MFA is disabled.
After recovery, you should immediately set up a new authenticator device and generate fresh backup codes from Settings → Security → MFA.
Best practices: Store backup codes in a password manager or a secure offline location. Never share them. If you suspect your codes were compromised, regenerate them immediately.
If your email is also compromised or you cannot complete any recovery option, contact support@midas-edge.com with proof of account ownership.
